Verify IP address allocation by using Network Monitor

1. Загрузите вторую машину (помимо DHCP сервера)

2. На машине с DHCP запустите сетевой монитор - Network Monitor.

Переходим к работе с клиентской машиной

3. Когда появится вопрос о выборе сети - выберете =

ЛОкаьлный компьютер -> Подключение по локальной сети

When prompted to specify the network on which you want to capture data,
click OK. This will bring up the Select a network dialog box. Expand
Local Computer and then click Local Area Connection. Click OK.

4. Maximize the Microsoft Network Monitor window, click the Capture
menu, and then click Start - выбираем START (верхнее меню с кнопками -под главным ) , чтобыначать захватывать кадры.

5. Switch to the DEN-CL1 virtual machine, click Start, and then click
Control Panel. Double-click Network Connections.

Right-click Local Area Connection and click Properties from the shortcut
menu.

7. In the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box, click Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP) and then click Properties.
ВЫбираем для клиентской машины автоматическое получение IP и адресов DNS серверов=

• Click Obtain an IP address automatically.
• Click Obtain DNS server address automatically.

10. Click OK in the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box and
then click Close in the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box.
11. Click Start and then click Run. Type cmd in the Open text box and then
click OK.
12. Type

ipconfig /release

and then press ENTER to release the IP
configuration.
13. Type

 ipconfig /renew

and then press ENTER to request an IP address from
the DHCP server.

14. Останавливаем захват кадров нажав на кнопка -остановить и отобразить записанные данные: On DEN-DC1, in Network Monitor, click the Capture menu and then click
Stop and View.

В разделе Фильтра - отрубаем все типы. а потом среди отрубленных выбираем DHCP=

• 14. On the Display menu, click Filter. This will bring up the Display Filter
  dialog box. Click Protocol and then click Edit Expression.
• 15. In the Expression dialog box, click Disable All. In the disabled protocols
• list, scroll down and click DHCP. Click Enable and then click OK twice.

Изучаем DHCP пакеты , которыми обменивались сервер и клиентская машина=
Examine the DHCP packets that were sent between the server and the client
workstation.
16. Close all open windows. Do not save the Microsoft Network Monitor
capture.
